After years of living the life she was supposed to want, Rita returns to the place where everything began. Among old memories, empty ice rinks and unfinished sketches, she faces the question she has spent years avoiding: what if joy is worth the risk?

In figure skating, a step sequence is a required element: a run of turns and edges performed across the full length of the ice. Every step is counted. Rita's life has a step sequence too — and she performed it exactly as required.

The film is named after a figure skating element, so the skating
had to be right. A step sequence has a defined structure — a run
of turns and edges performed across the ice — and anyone who knows
the sport reads a wrong one instantly. So the movement wasn't left
to chance: I used Kling's motion control to direct each skating
shot, specifying the path, the direction changes, and the way the
body carries through them.
Video was generated in Kling and Seedance. Stills and character
references were built in Nano Banana Pro. The film was assembled,
graded and finished in DaVinci Resolve.
